In the month of June, 2023, the Foundation met with children and caregivers in her Orphans and Vulnerable Children’s Health and Education Project in Calabar and Oban, Cross River State. The Kids and Adolescent Club Meetings and the Caregivers Forum adressed several issues of children and caregivers identified during home and school visits earlier conducted by the Foundation staff.
The meeting served as a platform to provide psychosocial services to children and caregivers such as recreation, life skills education and group counselling.
Major areas discussed during the quarterly meeting were children’s academic performance; factors affecting and improvement strategies, values clarification and negotiation skills, menstrual hygiene management, and male involvement in the care of children.
