On December 8, 2023, the Charles Edet Effiong Foundation, also recognized as the Professor Charles Effiong Foundation, received recognition from the Centre for Clinical Care and Clinical Research Nigeria (CCCRN). They were honored as the top-performing Civil Society Organization (CSO) in community stakeholder engagement among the organizations involved in implementing the ICHSSA 1 project in Cross River State. 

The award was presented to Mr. Obaseokanke Willie, the Executive Director of the Foundation, during the CCCRN end-of-year event held at their regional office in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. Expressing gratitude for the award, the Executive Director pledged ongoing commitment not only to community engagement but also to enhancing various aspects to attain project objectives and fulfill the Foundation’s vision.
